near Cocoa, above Lake Harney near Geneva, near Sanford, near Deland,
and at Astor.

...Major Flooding is ongoing above Lake Harney near Geneva...

...Moderate Flooding persists near Cocoa, near Sanford, near Deland,
and near Astor...

River levels are expected to remain nearly steady or only slightly
decrease this week. However, some areas along the river will see a slight
rise due to heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours. Scattered to numerous
showers and a few thunderstorms are forecast over the basin from today
through at least Thursday.

Regardless of additional rainfall over the basin, river levels will
remain above flood stage for several weeks, with a very slow rate of
decline. The continuation of a downward trend in river levels will
depend on heavy or persistent rainfall occurring over the basin beyond
the five-day forecast period.

* Moderate Flooding is Occurring and Moderate Flooding is Forecast.

*At 3.5 feet, Moderate flooding occurs with many yards and streets
along the river and with canals flooded, water enters the first floor
of low lying homes. Flooding to docks and yards at condominiums on
Juno Trail and docks at Astor Bridge Marina. Roads flooded in South
Moon Fish Camp and starting to move over the sea wall at Blair`s
Jungle Den.

* Minor Flooding is Occurring and Moderate Flooding is Forecast.

*At 7.4 feet, Many secondary roads are flooded and may become
impassable around Lake Monroe and in Enterprise. Rising water begins
to impact more areas of Stone Island and water approaches homes in
River Oaks Estates.
*At 7.0 feet, Water begins to move over sea wall around Lake Monroe
and rises into grassy areas around the sea wall. Water begins to
encroach on Seminole Boulevard.

*At 10.5 feet, Water covers many secondary roads near the river,
limiting access to homes to boats or high terrain vehicles. Flooding
of homes along secondary roads near the river becomes more
significant. Water begins to encroach on State road 46 near Jungle
Road and Prevatt Road.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A HIGH RIP
CURRENT RISK, WHICH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* TIMING...EXPECT SURF TO BECOME ROUGH AND THE RISK OF RIP
  CURRENTS TO BECOME HIGH AS THE DAY UNFOLDS DUE TO THE EFFECTS OF
  STRONG MARITIME WINDS BEHIND A COOL FRONT.

* IMPACTS...ROUGH SURF CAN BE MORE DANGEROUS THAN IT APPEARS WHILE
  STANDING ON THE BEACH. HEAVY BREAKING WAVES CAN KNOCK YOU OFF A
  SANDBAR INTO DEEPER WATER OR INTO STRONG CURRENTS.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS.

RIP CURRENTS ARE POWERFUL CHANNELS OF WATER FLOWING QUICKLY AWAY
FROM SHORE, WHICH OCCUR MOST OFTEN AT LOW SPOTS OR BREAKS IN THE
SANDBAR AND IN THE VICINITY OF STRUCTURES SUCH AS JETTIES AND
PIERS. HEED THE ADVICE OF LIFEGUARDS...BEACH PATROL FLAGS AND
SIGNS.

SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT, RELAX AND
FLOAT. DON`T SWIM AGAINST THE CURRENT. IF ABLE, SWIM IN A
DIRECTION FOLLOWING THE SHORELINE. IF UNABLE TO ESCAPE, FACE THE

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of east central Florida, including the following
  areas, Coastal Volusia County and Northern Brevard County.

* Through late tonight

* Increasing moisture and elevated northeast winds along and
  behind a passing front will lead to the potential for persistent
  heavy rainfall bands across coastal Volusia and northern Brevard
  Counties through late tonight. Rainfall amounts from 1 to 2
  inches are expected across this area, with isolated locally
  higher amounts of 3 to 5 inches possible where any rain bands
  develop and persistent into the overnight hours.

* This heavy rainfall will have the potential to cause flooding
  of low-lying areas and poor drainage areas. Flooding will also
  affect roadways, creeks and small streams. Remember to not
  drive across flooded roadways. Turn around. Don`t drown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to
flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding
develop.
