...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in North
Dakota...
  Souris River near Bantry affecting McHenry County
  Souris River near Towner affecting McHenry County
For the Souris River Basin including Towner...Bantry...Minor flooding
is occurring and is expected to continue.

.The Souris River continues its slow fall in the Towner to Bantry area.
Incoming rainfall on Wednesday is not likely to significantly affect this
downward trend as it encounters fairly dry topsoil which will minimize
runoff. At this point, the Souris River will likely fall below flood stage
near Bantry late Wednesday or early Thursday, but will remain above
flood stage near Towner until late this weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Do not drive into areas where water tops the
roadway. Turn around...Don`t drown. Avoid driving on flooded roads.

* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 11.2
  feet this afternoon.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Flood waters affect farmland or wooded areas
  in refuge. Due to relative flatness of the area within reach of the
  gage, a rather large area becomes flooded. Damage is to crops and
  farm buildings.
