...THE SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM
EDT FOR MERCER COUNTY...

At 1045 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated up to 3 inches of rain have
fallen since Friday morning.

Around 1045AM, several river gauges reported flood or near flood
conditions.

At 1000 AM the Bluestone River at Pipestem was at 10.80 feet and
rising slowly. Minor Flood Stage is 10 feet.

At 1035 AM the Bluestone River at Spanishburg was at 12.00 feet and
rising slowly. Minor Flood Stage is 12 feet.

At 800 AM Brush Creek near Glenwood was at 8.30 feet and falling.
Minor Flood Stage is 12 feet.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bluefield...
Princeton...
Athens...
Matoaka...
and Camp Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service
