...AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST
FRIDAY...
...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM PST
WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory...which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM PST
Wednesday.

* Visibility: Less than one quarter mile.

* Locations include: Interstate 5 in the Umpqua Basin between
  Tri- City and Elkton.

* Impacts: Poor visibility, less than one quarter of a mile at
times, will make travel difficult. The dense fog may become
freezing fog in isolated areas and create slippery roads with
  additional travel difficulties.

* Air stagnation locations include: All inland valleys.

* Impacts: Limited ventilation will result in degraded air
quality, which may pose a risk to those working outside and to
  those with sensitive health issues.

* View the hazard area in detail at
  https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mfr/HAZARD

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area, pollution will increase.

* Slow down and allow for plenty of room between you and other
vehicles.

* Fog makes objects appear farther away than they are

* Use low beams. High beams reflect back thick fog, making
visibility worse for you and other drivers.

* Don`t use cruise control. Most crashes occur because the
driver is going too fast for weather conditions.
