.A DEEP LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CROSS INTO THE SMOKYS OVERNIGHT
THEN SHIFT OFF THE NORTH CAROLINA COAST SATURDAY. UNSEASONABLY
COLD AIR ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING THE SEASONS FIRST
SNOWFALL TO THE NORTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINS
OVERNIGHT INTO SATURDAY EVENING. AS THE STORM STRENGTHENS
SATURDAY...NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE AND GUST UP TO
50 MPH IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

  12 INCHES AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 4000 FEET.

* TIMING...THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW...PLUS STRONG WINDS... WILL DOWN
  SOME TREES AND CAUSE POWER OUTAGES. ROADS WILL BECOME SLICK AT
  HIGHER ELEVATIONS...WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES.
