National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 36 - expect widespread flooding, with serious flooding possible between Corvallis and Albany on the west bank of the river. At this and higher stages, the Willamette River between Harrisburg and Corvallis has historically been up to 3 miles wide.
- 32 - expect flooding of low spots of Hwy 99 south of Corvallis, the Corvallis-Albany Hwy, and Hwy 34 near Corvallis.
- 30 - expect extensive flooding of low-lying agricultural land east and south of Corvallis. Flooding of low areas of Hwy 34 and numerous roads in and near Corvallis begins.
