Flood Impacts
- 18 - major flooding will affect the town of Green River near the old river channel. This channel is a direct result of rerouting the Green River allowing the old channel to be used as an irrigation source. Backwater flooding will majorly impact areas around this channel and into the town of Green River.
- 17 - moderate flooding will occur around the old channel of the Green River and nearby areas of the banks of this channel. The old riverbed is a result of rerouting the Green into a new channel and using the old channel as an irrigation source. This area produces backwater flooding issues and will moderately impact the town of Green River in this area.
- 15 - the Green River near the town of Green River, Utah will experience minor flooding into the old river bed as it flows near Green River, Utah. The old river channel is a result of rerouting the river to a new channel and using the old as an irrigation source. Backwater issues begin around the areas of the old channel at 15.0 ft.
