Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 10.3 - At 10.3 ft, major flooding is anticipated through the McLeod Creek Drainage. This includes overbank flooding in addition to flooding due to rising water tables and basement flooding. Areas adjacent to McLeod Creek can anticipate field flooding to affect structures in and around this area.
- 9.19 - At 9.2 ft, moderate flooding will occur in and around the Willow Park area of the Snyderville Basin in Summit County. Flood issues will occur as a result of rising water tables and basement flooding. Additional overbank flooding may occur near homes adjacent to McLeod Creek.
- 8.9 - At 8.9 ft, areas just upstream from Willow Park are anticipated to receive minor flooding. These areas include homes in and around Willow Park. Most of the flooding will occur as rising water tables and basement seepage.
