FLOODING OF SOME FARMLAND ALONG THE RIVER IS ALSO EXPECTED. BRIDGES CROSSING THE RIVER MAY BE SHUT DOWN. BACKWATER FLOODING MAY OCCCUR ALONG TRIBUTARY STREAMS AND RIVERS TO THE CONNECTICUT RIVER.
29 MINOR FLOODING OF SOME FARMLAND ALONG THE RIVER IS EXPECTED FROM WALPOLE SOUTH TO THE MASSACHUSETTS BORDER. FARMING INTERESTS SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY ACTIONS NOW TO PROTECT LIVESTOCK AND EQUIPMENT. FLOODWATERS WILL INUNDATE ROUTE 5 UP TO 1 FOOT DEEP IN SECTIONS OF WESTMINSTER. LOW LYING ADJACENT BUSINESSES ALONG ROUTE 5 WILL ALSO BE IMPACTED.
28 MINOR FLOODING WILL AFFECT LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE CONNECTICUT RIVER FROM WALPOLE AND WESTMINSTER DOWNSTREAM TO THE MASSACHUSETTS BORDER. PORTIONS OF LOW LYING ROADS ALONG THE RIVER WILL FLOOD. THIS INCLUDES ROUTE 5 AND SOME ADJACENT BUSINESSES IN WESTMINSTER. FARMING INTERESTS ALONG THE RIVER MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING.
