52 Estimated height of lake in Suicide Basin from July 2012. Produced bankfull conditions on the Mendenhall Lake and River.
(1) Full Suicide Basin, big cracks in center from water underneath pushes up the ice.
(2) Suicide Basin has emptied. Big cracks in center have closed and icebergs in back are grounded.
(3) Full Suicide Basin, big cracks in center and floating icebergs on right.
(4) Suicide Basin has emptied. Big cracks in center have closed and icebergs are grounded in back basin
(5) Suicide Basin has emptied. Icebergs in back of basin are grounded.
(6) Full Suicide Basin, big bulge in middle of the basin.
(7) Suicide Basin has emptied. Bulge in center of basin is gone and ice level has dropped.
