14.4 Post Tropical Storm Sandy on October 29, 2012. This is an estimated value. A USGS high water mark, 1,500 feet away from the NOS gauge, was used to reconstruct the crest. The NOS gauge stopped reporting at 13.23 feet.
10.1 Hurricane Donna on September 12, 1960.
9.8 Hurricane Irene on August 28, 2011.
9.4 Hurricane on September 14, 1944.
8.6 Hurricane Gloria on September 27, 1985.
7.9 Hurricane Carol on August 31, 1954.
7.7 Flooding begins along Woodbridge Creek in Woodbridge Township and in Perth Amboy. Flooding is also possible along Rosewell Street in South Amboy, at the Victory Plaza Circle in Sayerville and in Old Bridge Township.
7.5 Flooding occurs along sections of NJ Route 35 in Keyport and Hazlet as water backs up into tidal streams within these communities. Flooding also occurs along the access road to the Gateway National Recreation Area's Sandy Hook Unit.
7.3 Back bay flooding occurs around the bridge between Neptune City and Shark River Hills (Neptune Township).
6.9 Flooding begins in Aberdeen, Keyport, Union Beach, Keansburg, Middletown Township, Highlands, Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Spring Lake and Avon. Back bay flooding begins in Rumson, Little Silver, Oceanport, Belmar and Brielle. Flooding also occurs in the Shark River Hills section of Neptune Township.
6.7 Back bay flooding begins in Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, and Manasquan.
