Additional areas may be flooded if the river becomes obstructed or as a result of flooding from tributary streams. Residents living near tributaries of the Blanchard River should be particularly cautious due to added uncertainty associated with the potential for flooding from multiple sources.

Major flooding will occur in downtown Findlay. Flooding can be expected from Westerfield Drive to County Road 236 along the Blanchard River. Flooding can also be expected along Eagle and Lye Creeks between State Route 15 and the Blanchard River. ABOUT THREE QUARTERS OF THE CITY INUNDATED.

Several businesses will be impacted downtown... with many roads near the river closed. County Road to State Route 568 will be inundated. The following streets are likely to be flooded...Main Cross Street from Western to Township Road 180... Broad Street...Streets along Eagle Creek from Central to Rockside and streets along Lye Creek from Wedgewood to Strong Avenue.

MAJOR FLOOD STAGE RAISED FROM 13.0 FEET TO 13.5 FEET ON JANUARY 3, 2012. THIS CHANGE WAS MADE TO ACCOUNT FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN FLOOD PROTECTION PROGRAMS IN THE CITY OF FINDLAy WHICH HAD REDUCED FLOOD IMPACTS AT 13.0 FEET.
