Below freezing temperatures around the low and mid 20s are expected this morning. Although the growing season has not officially started yet, per coordination with state agricultural partners, early blooming vegetation will likely be harmed or killed by this hard freeze. Gusty southwest winds between 25 to 35 mph with isolated gusts up to 40 mph are expected today, mainly from late morning through the early evening. Use caution when driving or operating a high profile vehicle and secure outdoor objects. In addition to the strong and gusty winds, the airmass will be very dry resulting in low relative humidity. The combination of these windy conditions and dry air will result in elevated fire danger today, and possibly again tomorrow. Outdoor burning is not recommended as any fire could grow out of control rather quickly. $$ ALL
