...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...The Mohawk and Schoharie Valleys, northern Catskills,
  Helderbergs and the Capital District.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Scattered to widespread power outages are expected. Travel
  will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will occur tonight
  into early Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

...SNOW SHOWERS WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN SCHENECTADY...WESTERN
ALBANY AND SCHOHARIE COUNTIES...

At 623 PM EST, snow showers were located along a line extending from
near Central Bridge to near Leonardsville. Movement was east at 50
mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and visibility less than half a mile are
possible with this squall.

Locations impacted include...
Cobleskill, Jefferson, Duanesburg, Westerlo, Berne, Altamont,
Middleburgh, Gilboa, Summit, Schoharie, Richmondville, Sharon
Springs, Delanson, Breakabeen, Livingstonville, North Blenheim,
Preston-Potter Hollow, Central Bridge, Preston Hollow and Knox.

This includes Interstate 88 between exits 20 and 24.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
