...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow and sleet
  accumulations of up to 2 inches and ice accumulations of a glaze
  to few hundredths of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut and central, eastern
  and western Massachusetts.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could
  bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on icy road conditions into the
  morning commute. Even as air temperatures rise above freezing,
  ground temperatures will be slow to rise above freezing until
  after daybreak due to the recent stretch of cold weather.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

...A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW...

At 245 AM EST, a band of heavy snow was located over northeast
Connecticut and moving northward at 30 mph. Snowfall rate could
exceed an inch per hour, leading to snow covered roads. Rates may
even exceed two inches per hour in the east- facing slopes of the
Berkshires and northern Worcester Hills.

Use extra caution if you traveling early this morning. Rapid
changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to
accidents.
