* No flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...rise to Flood Stage early Wednesday morning. Continue
  rising to 16.5 feet, or 1.5 feet above Flood Stage, Thursday
  afternoon. Then begin falling and go below Flood Stage Friday
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 16.5 feet, 125th Trail north of Dawson and west of
  Highway P46 is affected. Water may affect portions of Highway 169
  north of Adel near the fairgrounds.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Fayette County in northeastern Iowa...
  Floyd County in north central Iowa...
  Southern Winneshiek County in northeastern Iowa...
  Chickasaw County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 115 AM CDT

* At 1115 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported multiple
  intersections experiencing street flooding in Floyd county. This
  minor flooding is caused by about 2 inches of rain falling
  over the past hour.

* The area of storms that is causing the heavy rainfall continues to
  move east and will affect much of northeast Iowa along Highway 18
  through 1 am. About an hour of storms with torrential rainfall
  will occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Decorah, Charles City, New Hampton, West Union, Nashua, Fayette,
  Calmar, Clermont, Hawkeye, Lawler, Rudd, Marble Rock and Ionia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

River forecasts include observed precipitation, as well as expected
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

If rainfall in the basin is less than predicted, the forecast river
stage may not be reached. Conversely, if rainfall is more than
predicted the river may crest higher.

As the rainfall forecast becomes more certain, this watch will
either be upgraded to a warning or cancelled.

* At  8:00 PM Monday the stage was 21.1 feet, or 2.9 feet below Flood
  Stage.
* Flood Stage is 24.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...rise to Flood Stage late Wednesday evening. Continue
  rising to 24.7 feet, or 0.7 feet above Flood Stage, Thursday
  afternoon. Then begin falling and go below Flood Stage Saturday
  afternoon.
* There is limited confidence in this river forecast. Forecasts may
  change so monitor for updated information.
