...HARD FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM
CST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 23 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest and west
  central Louisiana and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing. Pets should be brought in if possible or a warm place
  to sleep. If there is a issue with heating check with Emergency
  Managers for possible shelters to stay in.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
