FRIDAY FOR VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES AND STRONG WEST
WINDS FOR MUCH OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS ...

* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 percent.

* FUELS...Normal Moisture

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Any
  outdoor activity that could produce flames or sparks is
  discouraged.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now or will occur shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low humidity and dry fuels will contribute to
extreme fire behavior.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 PM CDT
THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...Big Country and Concho Valley

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 5 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
  result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...West winds may cause dangerous driving
  conditions for high profile vehicles, due to cross winds on
  roadways that run mainly north and south. This will include
  Highways 87, highway 67, Highway 277, and Highways 83 and 84.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
