...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
California...

  San Joaquin River Near Vernalis affecting San Joaquin County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...San Joaquin River near Vernalis.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Seepage begins into crop area outside of
  levees.
  At 26.0 feet, Severe seepage occurs outside the levees. The area
  covered by seepage will increase as the river stage rises.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:45 PM PDT Friday the stage was 29.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 12:45 PM PDT Friday was 29.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.6
    feet this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    29.8 feet on 03/18/1986.
