National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 15 - Significant flooding continues to expand further into the woodlands upstream and downstream from the river gage at New Hope Road. The bridge forms an obstacle and acts like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. The flood water will be around one foot deep over the road and county officials will have the bridge closed. The high water will likely affect the performance of the USGS gaging equipment near the bridge.
- 14 - Significant flooding continues to expand further into the woodlands upstream and downstream from the river gage at New Hope Road. The bridge forms an obstacle and acts like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. The water will begin to flood the road and county officials will likely close the bridge. Also the water level reaches the bottom of the USGS gaging equipment near the bridge.
- 13 - Significant flooding continues to expand further into the woodlands upstream and downstream from the river gauge at New Hope Road. The bridge forms an obstacle and acts like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. County officials may need to close the bridge.
