National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 32 - Major Flooding. Riverfront homes severly flooded throughout lower Austin Creek. Austin Creek Road and Cazader Highway flooded. Austin Creek Road bridge backwatered and/or flooded.
- 27 - Moderate Flooding. Many riverfront homes throughout lower Austin Creek flooded or begin to flood, depending on elevation. Water has reached to the top of the wing wall at Austin Creek Road Bridge, and Austin Creek Road and Cazadero Highway begin to flood. NWS will issue a Flash Flood Warning, if not yet already issued.
- 21 - Minor Flooding. Riverfront properties begin flooding downstream on left bank (southeast) side near Austin Creek Road bridge. Other riverfront and floodplain properties both up and downstream are also likely beginning to flood. NWS will issue an Urban/Small Stream Advisory, if not yet already issued.
