National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 8 - Due to high water on the Rockaway River, water backs up through storm drains and flood portions of Lancaster Avenue, Normandy Drive, Buckingham Circle, Sheffield Place, Manchester Drive and Konner Avenue in Montville. High water on the Rockaway also backs up Hatfield Creek in Montville and causes additional flooding on Lancaster Avenue.
- 7.7 - Change Bridge Road in Montville, north of Woodmont Road and south of Stiles Lane, floods. River Road in Montville floods near Condurso's Garden Center. Both roads are closed.
- 6 - Flooding occurs on Vail Road in Montville. The Road heading into Parsippany is subject to closures.
