This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 30 - Flood waters reach the height of the levee system on the east side of Barnard. Roads in Barnard may begin to flood. Possible evacuations may take place.
- 24.5 - Flood waters cover Highway 284 about 1 mile west of town and east of creek bridge and on Section Line Road south of town. Other county roads near and around Salt Creek flood. Agricultural fields will flood to an extent of 3/4 of a mile.
- 24 - Expect flooding of agricultural fields to an extent of 3/4 of a mile coverage. Flood waters cover Highway 284 east of the creek bridge to around 260th Road, expect road closure. Numerous roads along and near the Salt Creek flood.
