National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 20 - Record and widespread inundation flooding occurs in the woodlands along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Cave Spring Road. The flood waters impact a home on the downstream left bank of the creek. Large portions of Kings Bridge Road will be under two feet of water. The water level will be hitting the bridge and may cause erosion to the banks of the creek.
- 18 - Major flooding begins. Widespread inundation flooding occurs in the woodlands along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Cave Spring Road. The flood waters surround a home on the downstream left bank of the creek. Portions of Kings Bridge Road begin to flood. The water level will be near the bottom of the bridge and county officials may close it.
- 17 - Significant flooding continues in the woodlands along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Cave Spring Road. The flood waters will be at the foundation of a home on the downstream left bank of the creek.
