Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 14 - Moderate flooding continues with significant flooding expanding further into the woodlands and pasture near the creek. The sidewalk and boardwalk of the Big Creek Greenway will be completely flooded out with several feet of water. Around two feet of water will be flowing over portions of the Atlanta Highway. This will likely cause a washout of the road near the culvert. The water level will also be reaching the bottom of the bridge on Majors Road.
  • 12 - Moderate flooding begins with significant flooding expanding further into the woodlands and pasture near the creek. The sidewalk and boardwalk of the Big Creek Greenway will be completely flooded out with several feet of water. The water will begin flowing over portions of the Atlanta Highway. Extensive erosion of the banks near the culvert may cause a washout.
  • 10 - Minor flooding continues to expand further into the woodlands and pasture near the creek. The sidewalk and boardwalk of the Big Creek Greenway will be completely flooded out. The areas under the Georgia 400 Highway and McFarland Road will be covered with around five feet of water. A portion of the sidewalk under Majors Road will be covered with around six feet of water. Maximum flow will be reached through the culvert at Atlanta Highway and erosion of the banks near the bridge will begin.
