Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 40.7 - This is the flood of record stage from Hurricane Agnes in June 1972. Catastrophic flooding devastated areas from Painted Post to Big Flats and beyond. Levees protect the Market Street area south of the river in the City of Corning to this level.
  • 37 - Flooding begins to overtop levee protected areas of Painted Post, Riverside and Corning on the north side of the river.
  • 36 - Major flooding of roads, properties and buildings occurs from South Corning to Big Flats.
