Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 28 - Expect flows greater than October 1986... when U.S. Highway 81 was washed out. Suburban estates south of Dover could be devastated... hours before the crest. Flooding may cover the southern and western portions of Dover. Overflow depths ranging up to about 11 feet cover most of the flood plain in Kingfisher County... and into western Logan County. Concurrent high stages on Turkey Creek could cause flooding to extend across most of Dover... which would be worse than the flooding which occurred in May 1957.
  • 27 - Expect flows greater than those of October 1986... when U.S. Highway 81 roadway was washed out. Suburban estates south of Dover will be seriously flooded... hours before the crest. Flooding occurs within the southwest portions of Dover. Flood depths ranging up to about 10 feet cover most of the flood plain in Kingfisher County... and into western Logan County. Concurrent high stages on Turkey Creek could cause flooding to extend across most of Dover... like in May 1957.
  • 26 - Expect flows greater than those of October 1986... when U.S. Highway 81 was washed out. Suburban estates south of Dover will be cut off from access... hours before the crest. Shallow flooding touches the southern edge of Dover. depths ranging up to 9 feet will cover most of the flood plain of the Cimarron River in Kingfisher County... and into western Logan County. Concurrent high stages on Turkey Creek could create substantial flooding of Dover like the flooding which occurred in May 1957.
