National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 109 - Major floodplain inundation in vicinity of Elsie Allen High School and possibly elsewhere along Colgan Creek near Santa Rosa. Bellevue Avenue also heavily inundated by flood waters and possibly impassable by vehicle and foot traffic. Roadway and sidewalk manhole covers may be backpressured and missing.
- 108 - Adjacent maintenance road on north (right bank) side of channel flooded. Culvert that serves Colgan Creek beneath Burgess Drive fully submerged and likely backwatered. Channel banks overtopped and Elsie Allen ballfield begins to flood. NWS will issue a Flash Flood Warning, if not yet already issued.
- 106 - Adjacent maintenance road on north (right bank) side of channel flooded downstream of Burgess Drive bridge. Creek water levels have reached the elevation of storm drains serving runoff on Bellevue Avenue, so evacuation of runoff from the roadway and sidewalk may be limited or halted. Resultant roadway runoff may build up, causing localized urban roadway flooding. NWS will issue an Urban/Small Stream Advisory, if not yet already issued.
