National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 22 - Widespread moderate flooding continues to expand further into the woodlands...pasture and fields near the river...upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 286 or Dawnville Road. The bridge forms an obstacle and acts like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. County officials will close the bridge to the public.
- 20 - Moderate flooding begins. Widespread flooding expands further into the woodlands...pasture and fields near the river...upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 286 or Dawnville Road. The water reaches the bottom of the bridge which begins to form an obstacle and act like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. County officials may close or restrict access to the bridge.
- 18 - Widespread minor flooding expands further into the woodlands...pasture and fields along the river...upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 286 or Dawnville Road. Many locations near the river channel will be under several feet of water.
