National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 18 - Major flooding continues with widespread inundation flooding of the woodlands and fields along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Dial Mill Road. Flood waters top the bridge and cover the road and up to 4 feet deep. County officials will have the road closed. The water will be up to 4 feet deep in some of the homes on River Ridge Trail. The water level will reach the bottom of the USGS gage house with a possible data transmission loss.
- 16 - Major flooding begins. Widespread inundation flooding occurs in the woodlands and fields along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Dial Mill Road. Flood waters cover the road and bridge up to two feet deep. County officials will have the road closed. The water will be one to two feet deep in some of the homes on River Ridge Trail.
- 14 - Significant flooding expands into the woodlands and fields along the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Dial Mill Road. The water will hit the bridge and begin to flood portions of the road. County officials will likely close the bridge. The water level will reach the foundations of some of the homes on River Ridge Trail. Large portions of residential backyards will be under 4 feet of water.
