This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 17 - expect major flooding in Naselle with numerous homes completely surrounded by flood waters and a several structures flooded. Numerous roads are flooded with deep and swiftly moving water, including State Route 4.
- 16 - expect flooding of several homes and roads along and near the Naselle River. Portions of State Route 4 will likely be flooded. Widespread pasture land flooding also occurs above this level.
- 15 - expect flooding in numerous lowland areas along the Naselle. Historically, water begins to surround homes along and near the river at this point. A few roads are flooded at this level, including low sections of State Route 4.
