National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 23 - Water reaches the surfaces of the Thrasher Pike bridge where the gage is, and the Dayton Pike bridge. Stream-side residences on Willow Creek Drive upstream and left bank from the Dayton Pike bridge may take water in their yards, but the stream bed is wider here than at the gage site, so this impact is an estimate. Businesses on both sides of the creek near the Dayton Pike bridge are flooded with possibly a few feet of water.
- 19 - Water threatens businesses on both sides of the stream immediately downstream from the Dayton Pike bridge, but the stream bed is wider here than at the gage site, so this impact is an estimate.
- 18.5 - Water reaches the bottoms of Thrasher Pike bridge where gage is located, and the Dayton Pike bridge.
- 17 - Facilities upstream and right bank from the Dayton Pike bridge may have flooding of parking lots. The stream bed is wider here than at the gage site, so this impact is an estimate.
