National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 19 - The water level reaches the top of the bridge causing severe erosion and potentially a washout.
- 18 - Major flooding begins with widespread inundation of the woodlands and residential yards upstream and downstream from the gage at Graves Road. The water level begins to cover portions of Graves Road and the bridge forms an obstacle and acts like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. County officials will close the bridge. Record flooding will be occurring much further downstream in DeKalb County.
- 17 - Signficant flooding continues to expand into the woodlands and residential yards upstream and downstream from the gage at Graves Road. The Graves Road bridge begins to form an obstacle and act like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge. County officials will likely close the bridge. Record flooding will likely be occurring much further downstream in DeKalb County.
