National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 16 - Major flooding begins. Widespread inundation flooding affects the woodlands and Dekalb County park near the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Evans Mill Road. The walking trails and parking lot of the park are flooded. The flood waters top the bridge on Evans Mill Road and county officals will have it closed.
- 15 - Moderate flooding expands further into the woodlands and flood plain of the creek upstream and downstream from the gage on Evans Mill Road. The walking trails of a Dekalb County park near the creek will be flooded with several feet of water. The flood waters reach the parking lot of the park and begin to flood Evans Mill Road near the bridge. County officals will likely have it closed.
