National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 14 - Floodwaters will cover Highway 68.
- 11 - Floodwaters reach the Rockville sewer lagoon.
- 9 - Flooding will begin to impact South River Road making it more difficult to access several homes. There will also be widespread flooding of pasture land along the river, which will extend the river width to over one half mile in places.
- 8.5 - The river extends well outside of its left and right downstream bank reaching a maximum width of nearly one half mile, more than doubling it's normal width. Widespread flooding of pature land is expected both upstream and downstream of the Rockville river gauge.
