Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 12 - Major flooding begins. Widespread inundation flooding occurs in the woodlands upstream and downstream along the creek from the gage just off Mill Creek Road in the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area east of Crandall. Rapid flowing water will cause extrememly dangerous erosion conditions to the banks and should not be crossed. The flood waters top the road and concrete box culvert on Crandall Ellijay Road with a possible washout. A mobile home on the upstream left bank of the creek will be flooded.
  • 10 - Moderate flooding begins. Significant flooding occurs in the woodlands upstream and downstream along the creek from the gage just off Mill Creek Road in the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area east of Crandall. Rapid flowing water will cause dangerous erosion conditions to the banks and should not be crossed. The flood waters may hit the top of the concrete box culvert on Crandall Ellijay Road and affect a mobile home on the upstream left bank of the creek.
  • 8 - Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs in the woodlands upstream and downstream along the creek from the gage just off Mill Creek Road in the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area east of Crandall. Rapid flowing water will cause erosion conditions to the banks and should not be crossed.
