ALERT: December 13th update on the status of the nationwide data transmission error preventing stream gauge data collected at affected locations from being displayed on the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Services (AHPS) webpages. As of 11/08/2018, The USGS has restored all impacted operational stream gauges to transmitting status. The status map of gauge outages from other agencies is here. This will be the last outage map posted as over 95% of the gauge outages have been restored. Local NWS offices will continue to monitor the remaining gauge outages.

20 Major flooding begins upstream and downstream from Georgia Highway 16. Flood waters reach the foundation of a fire station and hit the bridge. Officials will have it closed. Wildcat Creek backs up and floods a portion of West Ellis Road around 3 feet deep. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way will be under 7 feet of water and few homes begin to flood. The USGS gage house under the bridge will be submerged 3 feet deep. A data transmission loss will occur unless the gage is moved higher.
19 Significant flooding expands upstream and downstream from Georgia Highway 16. Flood waters reach the fire station parking lot and hit the bridge. Officials will likely close it. Wildcat Creek backs up and floods a portion of West Ellis Road around two feet deep. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way will be flooded around 6 feet deep with water close to entering a few homes. The USGS gage house under the bridge will be submerged in two feet of water. A loss of data transmission will be likely.
18 Significant flooding occurs upstream and downstream from Georgia Highway 16. Flood waters approach the fire station and reaches the bottom of the bridge. Officials may close it. Wildcat Creek backs up and floods a portion of West Ellis Road near one foot deep. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way will be under 5 feet of water and surrounds the foundations of a few homes. The USGS gage house under the bridge will be submerged in one foot of water. A loss of data transmission will be possible.
17 Moderate flooding begins. Significant flooding occurs upstream and downstream from Georgia Highway 16. The recylcing center behind the fire station will begin to flood. Wildcat Creek upstream will backup and begin to flood a portion of West Ellis Road. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way will be under 4 feet of water. The flood waters will reach the foundations of a few homes and be under the wooden decks. The water level will be close to the bottom of the USGS gage house under the bridge.
