24 Major flooding begins with widespread inundation of the large flood plain and woodlands upstream and downstream of the gage on Georgia Highway 88. The bridge forms an obstacle and acts like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge and will likely be closed. The water level will completely cover the Sandy Ford Public Boat Ramp and begin to flood the adjacent parking lot.
22 Moderate flooding continues to expand into the large flood plain and woodlands upstream and downstream of the gage on Georgia Highway 88. The bridge begins to form an obstacle and act like a dam causing some backwater and erosion eddies to the sides of the bridge and will likely be closed.
