Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 31 - Major flooding continues. The river level begins to overflow the bridge with a possible washout. The bridge acts as a dam causing backwater eddies and severe erosion.
  • 27 - Major flooding beings. The river level reaches the bottom of the GA Hwy. 136 bridge causing a potential closure. Widespread inundation flooding of agricultural fields, woodlands and homes downstream from the bridge will occur.
  • 21 - Moderate flooding begins. Several homes downstream from the GA Hwy. 136 bridge begin to have flooding. These homes are on the left bank off of Riverbend Road and on the right bank off of Etowah River Road.
