Flood Impacts
- 827 - Record flooding occurs with numerous evacuations downstream from the gage at Morgan Falls Dam. Extensive damage occurs to homes on Columns Drive in Cobb County and the road is under several feet of water. Widespread flood damage affects many homes on Edgewater Drive...Ferry Landing...River Chase Circle...River Glen Trace and Winterthur Drive in Fulton County. Most of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area will be under several feet of water. This will be similar to the September 2009 flood event.
- 826 - Major flooding begins and causes widespread inundation and evacuations downstream from the gage at Morgan Falls Dam. Extensive damage occurs to homes on Columns Drive in Cobb County and the road is covered with a few feet of water. Flood waters affect many homes on Edgewater Drive...Ferry Landing...River Chase Circle...River Glen Trace and Winterthur Drive in Fulton County. Large portions of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area will be under several feet of water.
- 825 - Significant flooding occurs downstream from the gage at Morgan Falls Dam. This affects homes on Columns Drive in Cobb County and the water will cover portions of the road near Sope Creek. Flood waters begin to affect several homes on Edgewater Drive...Ferry Landing...River Chase Circle...River Glen Trace and Winterthur Drive in Fulton County. Some evacuations will be likely. Large portions of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area will be under several feet of water.
