National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 15 - County Road 31 is completely underwater, and considerable flooding occurs in crop land and low lying areas.
- 13 - Water covers County Road 31 bridge.
- 12 - Water reaches the edges of County Road 31.
- 11 - Water begins to impact the bottom of the bridge at the gauge site. In addition, there is extensive lowland agricultural flooding.
- 9.65 - At a record stage of 9.65 feet there was widespread flooding that included the inundation of several county roads. In addition, sandbagging of culverts was required on the west side of the town of Silver Creek to prevent flood waters from backing into town.
- 9 - Although there is no flooding at the gauge site, the Silver Creek will begin to flow out of its banks at upstream and downstream locations threatening a few county roads.
