12 Major Flood Stage. Significant flooding of areas along and near Mud Creek is ongoing. Floodwaters are threatening or inundating businesses along S. King St., S. Main St., and Spartanburg Highway (U.S. 25 Business). Businesses along S. Grove St. between E. Caswell St. and Chadwick Ave are inundated with at least 1-3 feet of floodwaters.
10.5 Moderate Flooding continues. Mud Creek is overtopping the bridge deck at Erkwood Dr. Floodwaters are threatening businesses along S King St., S. Main St., and Spartanburg Highway (U.S. 25 Business).
10 Moderate Flood Stage. Mud Creek is overtopping the S. Grove St. bridge deck and inundating S. Grove St. adjacent to the bridge. The railroad tracks adjacent to S. Grove St. are also being overtopped with floodwaters spilling onto E. Caswell St. Mud Creek is approaching the underside of the bridge deck at Erkwood Dr. Significant farmland flooding is ongoing within a 5-mile reach up and downstream from the Erkwood Dr. gauge site.
9.5 Minor Flooding continues. Mud Creek reaches the bottom of the bridge deck at the S. Grove St. bridge. Mud Creek reaches the bottom of the bridge beams at the Erkwood Rd. bridge. Backwater effects along Wash Creek is inundating much of the access road to the shopping plaza just south of Gateway Park at the intersection of S. Church St. and S. Main St. Floodwaters may be spilling into the plaza parking lot.
8.5 Minor Flood Stage. Mud Creek reaches the bottom of the beams at the S. Grove St. bridge. Floodwaters have begun inundating farmland and other undeveloped areas between S. King St. and Chadwick Ave. Mud Creek is also spilling into the floodplain near Erkwood Dr., flooding farmland. Backwater effects along Wash Creek are causing floodwaters to reach the access road to the shopping plaza just south of Gateway Park at the intersection of S. Church St. and S. Main St.
8 Action Stage continues. Backwater effects along Wash Creek are causing floodwaters to approach the access road to the shopping plaza just south of Gateway Park at the intersection of S. Church St. and S. Main St.
7.5 Action Stage continues. E. Caswell St. is flooded from storm culvert backwater effects underneath the railroad tracks adjacent to Mud Creek.
6.5 Action Stage. Mud Creek may be reaching bankfull at a few locations within a 5-mile reach up- and downstream from Erkwood Dr.
