Web Portal Changes: The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) hosted at https://water.weather.gov will be replaced by the National Water Prediction Service (NWPS), with a target of March 2024. Existing AHPS content and features will be preserved and expanded within NWPS.

Experimental National Water Center Products: The National Hydrologic Discussion, Area Hydrologic Discussion, and Flood Hazard Outlook, and real-time geospatial services depicting River Forecast Center and National Water Model forecasts, continue to be accessible via https://www.weather.gov/owp/operations, as described in the StoryMap here.

39 This will equal the previous flood of record. Many residents and businesses in Brookville will be completely inundated by water. Major flooding is widespread along the river from Stavetown, Indiana to Harrison, Ohio. Many roads, including Route 52, will be closed forcing residences and businesses to be evacuated.
36 Numerous evacuations within the flood plain will be necessary. Great destruction occurs to any development within the flood plain, including county roads, bridges and much of Route 52, as well as many of the homes in eastern Brookville.
30 The flood waters will cause significant damage to new development in the flood plain and evacuations will become necessary. Low areas of New Trenton, Stavetown, West Harrison, Indiana, and Harrison, Ohio are most impacted. Portions of Route 52 and low-lying secondary roads become flooded in areas.
28.5 The eastern portion of Brookville that is in the flood plain will begin to flood. Flooding is greatest in New Trenton, Stavetown, West Harrison, Indiana, and Harrison, Ohio. Portions of Route 52 are flooded, as well as several secondary roads near the river.
27 Water reaches the top of the levee that protects low-lying areas of Brookville. The business district at Brookville behind the levee is threatened. Major flooding continues along the river from Stavetown to New Trenton and West Harrison in Indiana to Harrison in Ohio. Lowland roads are flooded along the river and homes and businesses are affected.
26 Numerous county roads and Route 52 near Brookville will need to be closed. The levee protecting low-lying areas of Brookville will be in danger of failing. Campgrounds and trailer parks would be washed away. Significant flooding can be expected in the commercial area of Brookville near the Flood Memorial.
25 Flooding occurs on numerous secondary roads near the river in Franklin and Dearborn Counties, as well as Route 52. Also, flooding of agricultural land will occur, especially downstream of Brookville.
24 This stage is roughly the FEMA 1 percent flood. In addition to moderate flooding near Brookville and major flooding downstream near Cedar Grove and New Trenton, flooding occurs along portions of Route 52 from eight to nine miles downstream of Brookville.
22 Flood waters close some county roads and may affect portions of Route 52. Agricultural lands, campgrounds and trailer parks flood extensively at this stage. Low areas of Cedar Grove, New Trenton, West Harrison, Indiana, and Harrison, Ohio are impacted.
20 Moderate flooding occurs in areas of Cedar Grove and New Trenton, as well as West Harrison, Indiana and Harrison, Ohio, with some lowland roads affected near the river. Particularly affected are low areas from Stavetown, Indiana to Harrison, Ohio. Some secondary roads become flooded, and residents near the river may need to move to higher ground in these areas.
19 Some new developments downstream of Brookville experience basement flooding, while flooding of low areas continues along the river in New Trenton and Cedar Grove, Indiana, as well as West Harrison, Indiana and Harrison, Ohio.
18 Lowland flooding can be expected in Cedar Grove, New Trenton and West Harrison, Indiana, as well as Harrison, Ohio. Homes along Lawrenceburg Road have flooded basements. Homes and businesses in Whitewater Township, Ohio along the river incur basement and some first-level flooding. Campgrounds and recreational areas near Brookville are affected. Campers must move to higher ground.
16 Lowland flooding can be expected near Cedar Grove and New Trenton, with lowland flooding also occurring in West Harrison, Indiana and Harrison, Ohio.
15 The river overflows into some yards, as well as campgrounds near Cedar Grove and New Trenton, with lowland flooding also occurring in West Harrison, Indiana and Harrison, Ohio, especially near the Lawrenceburg Road area.
14 Campground and recreational areas flood in the Cedar Grove and New Trenton areas in southern Franklin County.
