National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 29 - Widespread inundation of homes and properties along NC 903 and Edwards Bridge Road near the gauge site. NC 903 becomes impassable along with several other local roads. Some residences along Contentnea Lane are inundated with several feet of water.
- 26 - Contentnea Lane becomes impassable, isolating residences along it. Water crosses NC 903 just north of the gauge, impacting travel along this route. Water surrounds properties near the west bank of the creek along NC 903.
- 24 - Water reaches and inundates Contentnea Lane in a couple spots, and may surround a few homes on this road as well. Expansive lowland flooding is expected on the northside of NC 903.
