11.5 Widespread and significant inundation throughout New Bern and surrounding communities. Flooding comparable to Hurricane Florence (2018). Portions of Highways 17 and 70 will be inundated with water and will be impassable. Runways and the terminal at Coastal Carolina Regional Airport will be impacted.
8 Widespread and significant inundation throughout New Bern, James City, and Bridgeton (including the communities of Trent Woods, Riverbend and Fairfield Harbour). Some primary roadways (including portions of NC-43 and NC-55) and many secondary roads will be inundated with water and will be impassable. Portions of Highway 17 in Bridgeton will be impassable. Buildings and hangers at the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport near Aviation Drive will see minor flooding.
5 Numerous residences and businesses will see flooding throughout New Bern, James City, and Bridgeton (including the communities of Trent Woods, Riverbend and Fairfield Harbour). Many roads will be inundated with water and may be impassable, especially in downtown New Bern and areas north/northeast of NC-55 (Neuse Blvd) that are in low lying areas.
3 Minor flooding occurs in New Bern, James City, and Bridgeton flooding docks and yards adjacent to the Neuse and Trent Rivers, Brice and Scotts Creeks and other tributaries. Minor inundation in parts of downtown New Bern, including Union Point Park, and the communities of Trent Woods, Riverbend and Fairfield Harbour.
2 Minor flooding of very low lying areas in New Bern, James City, Bridgeton, and areas adjacent to the Neuse and Trent Rivers, Brice Creek and other tributaries. Water reaches portions of Untion Point Park in downtown New Bern.
