10.2 Major Flood Stage. Severe roadbed flooding to local residence access road along Garrapata Creek. Major roadway erosion and/or deposition of flood-borne debris may be occurring. Levees protecting local access road overtopped. Other local coastal drainages may be creating hazardous conditions for those living or traveling along Highway 1 and vicinity, generally between Carmel Highlands and Big Sur.
8 Moderate Flood Stage. Local residence access road on Garrapata Creek inundated by at least 1 foot at lowest spots. Other local coastal drainages may be creating hazardous conditions for those living or traveling along Highway 1 and vicinity, generally between Carmel Highlands and Big Sur.
6 Minor Flood Stage. Local residence access road along Garrapata Creek begins to flood at lowest points. Roadbed erosion may accompany inundation. Other local coastal drainages may be creating hazardous conditions for those living or traveling along Highway 1 and vicinity, generally between Carmel Highlands and Big Sur. NWS will issue and Flash Flood Warning if not yet already issued.
5 Monitor Stage. Water levels locally are approximately 1 foot below elevation at which local residence access road along Garrapata Creek begins to flood. Other local coastal drainages may be creating hazardous conditions for those living or traveling along Highway 1 and vicinity, generally between Carmel Highlands and Big Sur. NWS will issue a Flash Flood Watch if not yet already issued.
