Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 49 - Numerous residential, industrial, and agricultural properties near the river in the Cockrill Bend, Bells Bend, Charlotte Park, Centenary, and Beacon Square areas are significantly impacted by floodwaters. Many primary and secondary roads are also flooded and impassable including River Rd and River Rd Pike. Water begins to approach Cockrill Bend Blvd and Ashland City Hwy, and may be impassable at higher levels.
- 45 - Extensive flooding is occurring along the river and in the lower portions of the Whites Creek and Richland Creek tributaries. Many residential, industrial, and agricultural properties are affected in the Cockrill Bend, Bells Bend, Charlotte Park, Centenary, and Beacon Square areas. Also impacted are properties on Old Hydes Ferry Pike, Ashland City Hwy, and River Trace Rd. Area roads are also flooded and impassable, including River Rd and River Rd Pike.
- 43 - Flooding of residential, industrial, and agricultural areas continues along the river, with backwater effects causing flooding in the lower portions of Whites Creek in Bordeaux and Richland Creek in the Urbandale Nations area. Many properties are affected in the Cockrill Bend, Bells Bend, Charlotte Park, and Beacon Square areas. Also impacted are properties on Old Hydes Ferry Pike, Ashland City Hwy, and River Trace Rd. Portions of River Rd and River Rd Pike are flooded and may be impassable.
