- 34 - In north Clinton... high water with with swift currents will threaten residential and business areas... a railroad yard... and U.S. Highway 183. Many farmsteads are severely flooded. Almost 21 thousand acres are flooded... from areas near the mouth of Barnitz Creek in Custer County... downstream near the town of Cloud Chief in Washita County. Depths up to 16 feet will be the highest at Clinton since flood control by Foss Dam began in 1961.
