Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 24 - Major flooding all along the river except for Bentalit and Northwood Lodges (which are actually on Fish Creek). There should be considerable damage to fixed and moveable property.
- 22 - McDougal's, King Point, Anglers Inn, Wilderness Place, Lake Creek Lodge, 3-Rivers, and Cottonwood Resorts will have water in a number of cabins with water also encroaching the main lodge buildings.
- 20.5 - Anglers Inn & King Point Lodges will have water in several cabins. (This roughly corresponds to a stage of 42.1 at SKWA2 - Skwentna.)
