ALERT: December 13th update on the status of the nationwide data transmission error preventing stream gauge data collected at affected locations from being displayed on the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Services (AHPS) webpages. As of 11/08/2018, The USGS has restored all impacted operational stream gauges to transmitting status. The status map of gauge outages from other agencies is here. This will be the last outage map posted as over 95% of the gauge outages have been restored. Local NWS offices will continue to monitor the remaining gauge outages.

59.21 This flood will exceed the highest stage on record.
52 Major flooding occurs. Large amounts of land are inundated and many homes and businesses will require evacuation.
45 Large portions of Point Township in Posey county are flooded.
40 Farm land and some main roads are flooded in places southwest and west of Mt. Vernon.
28 Flooding of numerous sloughs on both sides of the river occurs. Flood waters will begin to back into the lower Wabash River flooding bottomlands in that area.
